The Department of Biostatistics invites applications for one faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. This is a full time (100% FTE), 12-month service period position with an anticipated start date of Fall 2024. The base salary range for this position will be $9,583 – $12,500 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The successful candidates will:
- teach 4 – 6 Biostatistics courses per year (quarter system) including undergraduate courses, courses for graduate students in public health, and courses for graduate students in Biostatistics.
- provide educational leadership in the Department’s teaching program with emphasis on innovative pedagogy;
- share the department’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion;
- contribute to the departmental community by engaging in seminars and departmental outreach activities and serving on key committees.
QUALIFICATIONS. Candidates must have a PhD (or equivalent) in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field. Candidates should have demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching Biostatistics and/or Statistics at the university level.
