The Bioengineering department at Stanford University has an exciting search going on in “Engineering Life for Planet Health” at the assistant professor level. The search is very broad but will include modeling of infectious disease dynamics and other ecological and evolutionary systems. Successful candidates need not be traditional “engineers” but may be broadly trained in mathematical modeling, population biology, or other related fields (as well as other areas of molecular, cellular, and organismal biology).
