The NIH’s new Policy for Data Management and Sharing (DMS Policy), which goes into effect January 2023, will require federally-funded researchers to submit detailed plans explaining how their project’s data will be managed and shared. The policy expects that researchers will share as much data as they can, in a format that is as accessible and transparent as possible. How does this policy apply to the infectious disease modeling community? What strategies can ID researchers employ to make their data as findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) as possible? This webinar will review the policy, identify sources for news and updated guidance, and provide a forum for discussion.
