NIGMS at NIH is looking to hire a Non-Supervisory Program Officer with experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, or biostatistics to join our Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BCB) Branch at Division of Biophysics, Biological Technology, and Computational Biology (BBCB) at NIGMS. The successful candidate will be responsible for scientific and administrative management of a portfolio of research grants in developing computation/informatics, statistics, and mathematics in biomedical research. Applicants should have broad experience in one or more of the following areas: computational biology, bioinformatics, data science, applied mathematics, and biostatistics. Experience in genomics and -omics data analysis is a plus. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and should have advanced degree in one of the above research areas. Familiarity with NIH extramural funding as an applicant, reviewer, or NIH scientific administrator is a plus, and outstanding written and oral communication skills are essential.
