All research proposals submitted to the NIH are now subject to the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy, which encourages data sharing and requires the submission of a Data Management and Sharing Plan. The MIDAS Coordination Center has prepared some guidance for infectious disease researchers in sharing data and preparing data management and sharing plans.
