Bio

After graduating from Hamilton College where I studied Government and Neuroscience, I joined the Peace Corps as a health extension volunteer in Timor Leste. As a volunteer, I worked with a district-level health department on infectious diseases monitoring and education. Upon returning to the US, I started my Master of Public Health program in Global Health with a concentration in infectious diseases at Emory University, graduating in 2019. After graduation, I continued working at the Emory School of Medicine in the Infectious Diseases Division, where I had started as a graduate research assistant. In my current role, I have been working on infectious diseases research with a focus on how the environment impacts health. Currently, I am working on a project to model how climatological factors may influence respiratory illness emergency room visits and hospital admissions in Atlanta.
