We seek a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Kebschull and Kalhor Labs at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. This fully and stably funded position is flexible in scope but centered on developing models of viral spread and evolution in the brain. These models will be applied to develop new connectivity mapping tools in mice and potentially humans and will be used to answer questions in neuroscience and neurodegenerative disease. Both fully computational and wet+dry projects are possible. The successful candidate will be part of both the vibrant infectious disease and neuroscience communities at Hopkins.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in a physical or biomedical science field with strong skills and prior experience in computational biology, infectious disease dynamics, genetics, neuroscience and/or molecular biology. We welcome applications from individuals from diverse backgrounds and strongly encourage candidates from underrepresented or minority groups to apply.
