Postdoctoral Researcher/Institute Coordinator Position Available at KU Leuven Institute for Genetics and Society

KU Leuven is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to take on the role of Institute Coordinator at the newly established Leuven Institute for Genetics and Society (LIGAS).

Genetics plays an increasingly central role in modern society, not only as a source of biomedical data but also as an archive of evolution and history and a key to identification and biological kinship. The societal impact of genetics extends beyond the biomedical domain, raising complex ethical, legal, and sociological challenges. LIGAS is KU Leuven’s interdisciplinary response to these challenges. The institute fosters cutting-edge research, education, and public engagement, ensuring the responsible and inclusive integration of genetic knowledge into society.

To support the launch and development of LIGAS, we are looking for an Institute Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the strategic, operational, and financial management of the institute, facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations, organize high-impact events, acquire funding, and help shape LIGAS’ long-term vision and strategy.
