Building a Methodology for Identifying Infectious Diseases Hotspots and Measuring Women Vulnerability to Health Crisis

The Mekong Environment Forum (MEF) scientific symposium, “Building a Methodology for Identifying Infectious Diseases Hotspots and Measuring Women Vulnerability to Health Crisis,” will be held via Zoom on May 10, 2022 with an option to physically attend in Can Tho City, Vietnam. The symposium will bring together 20 researchers, experts, citizen science educators, policy makers, and public health professionals to discuss and develop a concrete methodology and solutions for identifying probable hotspots for zoonotic diseases, climate-sensitive diseases, and waterborne diseases, and for measuring women’s vulnerability to these threats.

Guidelines for registration:

Interested participants should send a short bio (200-500 words) that highlights current affiliation and relevant publications or research interests to pduy.mef@gmail.com and nmquang@ctu.edu.vn no later than April 21, 2022 (Indochina Time).

Participants who reside in Vietnam will receive a 3-day all-expense paid domestic trip to present at the symposium in Can Tho City. Foreign speakers who are not able to travel to Vietnam will attend via Zoom and receive an honorarium for their contribution to the workshop.
