US RSV Forecast Hub Looking for Submissions

Calling all RSV forecasters! The US RSV Forecast Hub is kicking off the 2024-25 respiratory virus season this week! If you are interested in submitting RSV forecasts, please join the effort!

We will begin accepting forecast submissions every Tuesday by 11:59 PM ET. Forecasts, including an ensemble of the submitted forecasts, can be viewed via the online interface (https://hopkinsidd.github.io/rsv-forecast-hub_website/). Evaluation of model performance will be available around four weeks after each submission, once data have stabilized.

The RSV Forecast Hub is a collaborative forecasting challenge for weekly laboratory confirmed RSV hospital admissions. Each week, participants are asked to provide national- and jurisdiction-specific probabilistic forecasts of the weekly number of confirmed RSV hospitalizations for up to four weeks ahead. The RSV Forecast Hub is open to any team willing to provide projections at the right temporal and spatial scales. Detailed instructions can be found in the RSV Forecast Hub repository (https://github.com/HopkinsIDD/rsv-forecast-hub).

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Thanks in advance for your participation, and we look forward to your submissions!
