Jianbo Wang

Bio

He received his Ph.D. degree from Fudan University in Jun. 2019. He is a member of the IEEE and MIDAS (Models of Infectious Disease Agent Study). He is working as a postdoctoral research assistant in the Department of Electrical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong since Feb. 2021. His current research focus is on the mathematical and statistical modelling of the transmission and control of the COVID-19 pandemic. He is also a lecturer and postgraduate tutor in the School of Computer Science at Southwest Petroleum University (SWPU) since Jul. 2019. He has research experience in computational (spatial) epidemiology, intelligent algorithm design, time series processing and other related fields. Regarding his research achievements, he have published 1 academic monograph (in Chinese), 1 Springer English chapter in academic monograph, and 13 research articles at international peer-review journals and conferences.
